CILIEGE NERE AL PORTO (Black Cherries in Port)

“Sareza negra” and “Sareza Negra dal Manec Lonc” type black cherry jam, typical of Brescia, cooked with a stick of cinnamon and flavoured with “Port” wine. This preserve is recommended not only as a filling for cakes and pies, but also to go with soft cakes, ice cream and sheep’s or goat’s milk cheese.
