This is made from the best grapes carefully selected from the older vines for their maturity and according to their exposure to the sun.
Thanks to a vinification process involving maceration on the white skins the result is the special Pvsterla 1037 celebrating the year that vines were first grown on Brescia’s castle mound.
Aging accentuates certain characteristics of this wine having fruity aromas on the nose and palate and precise notes of apple and apricot. The freshness is well balanced by an ample body and the typical hints of almond are finer and more elegant than the Pvsterla bianco with a longer overall finish.
Best paired with freshwater lake fish in white sauces with oil or butter (tench as from nearby lake Iseo, small eels or simple white fish), semi mature or mature cheeses and white meats that can contrast more.
